My Belief

I noticed this on the website of the church I attend... I loved the way it was worded... described everything perfectly, so I decided to copy and paste it here... :)

"While we believe in biblical leadership and proper authority, we understand that Christ is the ultimate head of His Church. We have been created for His good pleasure.

Because the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, it is our final authority. We seek ways to teach the Gospel in a culturally relevant manner, while at the same time being true to scripture.

While our message can never change, our methods must constantly change. We seek ways to share the Good News to all people, for it is our inherent belief that God loves all men and that everyone has a right to a clear presentation of the Gospel.

We know that the family was God’s first institution; therefore, we understand that it is the responsibility of the Church to nurture family relationships and provide ways for the family to grow stronger.
We understand that every believer is uniquely created with a divine design. God has graced each individual with his or her own ability. The responsibility of believers is to discover their giftings and use them for His glory.

We understand that we are the only Bible many people will ever read. Therefore, it is our responsibility to grow in personal holiness that we might better reflect the image of Jesus.

We seek to be a Fellowship that motivates people to serve not by guilt or shame, but through love and gratitude.

We understand that our ultimate goal is not to raise money or erect churches; it is to build people. Therefore, we will see the individuality of every person and seek to bring out his or her best."
